About BridgeWhy

BridgeWhy teaches computer networking the way it should be taught, by explaining the why behind every concept. The Aim is to boost your confidence in latest technologies and provide you with the best learning experience at a very affordable price.

Why BridgeWhy Exists

In nineteen years of working with networks, I have seen the same problem repeat itself in classroom after classroom. Engineers can recite the steps of a protocol but cannot explain why the protocol works the way it does. They can pass certification exams but freeze when a real network fails in front of them. The reason is simple. They learned the what without ever being taught the why.

BridgeWhy was born to fix this. Every course, every video, and every blog on this platform follows one rule. We teach the why behind every concept first. Once you understand why a technology was invented, why an engineer chose a specific design, and why a protocol behaves the way it does, the concept becomes yours forever. You stop memorizing and you start understanding.

That is the bridge in BridgeWhy. We bridge the gap between Knowing and Understanding.

"Anyone can Know, the point is to Understand"

You can learn (Understand) anything if you know the Why behind it, and we are here to Bridge that Why for you.

Our Vision

Who We Are

"Tell me and I forget, teach me and I may remember, involve me and I learn."

For the last nineteen years, I have worked at Cisco Systems as a Network Architect, helping enterprises across the world design and build the networks that carry their business. I hold the CCIE certification, which is widely considered the gold standard in networking expertise. But beyond the title, what I love most is teaching.

Over the years, more than fifteen thousand students from over one hundred countries have learned computer networking through my courses. Some came in as fresh engineers preparing for their first interview. Others arrived as experienced professionals trying to master a new domain like SD WAN or network automation. Every one of them shaped the way I teach today.

My belief is simple. Teaching is not about showing how much you know. Teaching is about helping the learner see the world the way the engineers who designed these technologies saw it. When you can think like the people who built BGP, OSPF, TCP, or VXLAN, you stop being a user of networking and you become a designer of networks.

The BridgeWhy

Why First Method

Every BridgeWhy course follows the same teaching method, which we call the Why First Method. It has four steps that repeat for every concept we teach.

Step 1. The Story                                                                                                                            Every protocol or technology was invented because somebody had a problem. We begin every topic by telling that story, because once you know the problem, the solution makes perfect sense.

Step2. The Why                                                                                                                              We explain why the chosen solution made sense, and why other possible solutions were rejected. This is is the step most teachers skip, and this is the step that turns a memorized fact into real understanding.

Step3. The How                                                                                                                              Only after the learner understands the why,  we move in to the actual configuration, the packet flow or the design. By this point, the how feels obvious.

Step4. The Hands On                                                                                                                    We demonstrate the concept in a real lab using EVE NG, Wireshar, or Live equipment, so the learner sees the theory come alive in front of their eyes.

This sequence is the opposite of how most networking is taught. Most teachers begin with how and the why is either missed or rushed at the end. We flip the order, and that single change makes everthing click for our learners.

 Who

Bridgewhy is For

BridgeWhy is built for 3 groups of Learner.

1. The Fresh Engineer or a College Student

You  are in college or have just stepped out of college and want to learn computer networking the right way, from the ground up. BridgeWhy gives you a complete foundation that no certification book can match.

2. The Working Professional

You have been in the industry for some years and now want to add modern skills like SD WAN, network automation, network security, or AI for networks to your resume. BridgeWhy gives you the depth you need to move into senior roles.

3. The Interview Candidate

You need to prepare seriously for a networking interview at any level, from CCNA to CCIE to architect roles. The BridgeWhy detailed courses and Network Interview Preparation Series is built for exactly this journey.

We teach in both

Hindi and English

One of the founding beliefs of BridgeWhy is that language should never be a barrier to learning a high paying skill like computer networking. Many of the best engineers in India and across the world think most clearly in their mother tongue. For that reason, BridgeWhy creates parallel versions of its content in both Hindi and English. You learn in the language that feels most natural to you.

Learn From Teachers who are Industry Leaders also

This is a misconception, that if you are good at something, you can teach it well. Teaching and being good at something are totally different. We are going to learn from someone who is a passionate teacher and also a leader in its domain.

Learn at Your Own Pace

As we are offering videos on demand, you can learn from anywhere and anytime at your own pace.

Be Project Ready

Doing certification is a great way to be on track to learn a new technology. But, here, our main priority is to make you project ready. It is up to you if you want to do certification or not.
