TCP is the one of the most overlooked concept of a network engineer. Let’s learn Layer-4 in detail. We are going to cover following topics in this course.

1. Connection Establishment: Sequence number, Acknowledgement, Segment, TCP headers and flags, TCP 3 Way Handshake and lets see all in Wireshark
2. Flow Control: Buffering, Data Transfer, Windowing, Opening and Closing of Windows, Connection Termination, silly window syndrome, Nagle’s algorithm. Some examples.
3. Error Control: Acknowledgement, duplicate AC’s, Ack rules, Checksum, Our-of-Order segments, Retransmission. Some scenarios.
4. Congestion Control, Timers and Options: TCP Slow start, Congestion Windows, congestion policy, RTO, Persistence Timer, Selective Acknowledgements
5. Let’s combine all the puzzles and create our TCP header.
