The course takes you from the original VLAN scaling problem to a full working VXLAN fabric with BGP-EVPN. In 12 hours you cover underlay, overlay, MTU, BUM traffic, Flood and Learn, EVPN route types, Inter and Intra VXLAN routing, ARP suppression, anycast gateway and external connectivity. Every concept is shown on whiteboard and then built on EVE-NG.
Is the Layer 2 and Layer 3 packet walk done on whiteboard or only on slides?
On whiteboard for every scenario. You see what happens to the frame the moment it enters the leaf, how the VXLAN header is added, how the underlay carries the packet, how BGP-EVPN learned the MAC and IP, and how the remote leaf strips the header and delivers the frame to the destination host.
How deep does the course go into EVPN route types?
Route Type 2 (MAC and MAC plus IP), Route Type 3 (Inclusive Multicast), and Route Type 5 (IP Prefix) are covered with packet captures. You also see how each route type is generated, advertised, and consumed.
Does the course cover both Layer 2 and Layer 3 VXLAN?
Yes. Layer 2 stretch using the same VNI across leafs is covered. Layer 3 routing between different VNIs is covered, including the symmetric IRB design used in most production fabrics.
What underlay protocol is used in the labs?
The labs use a simple IGP based underlay so that the focus stays on VXLAN and BGP-EVPN. You can replace the IGP with your preferred choice and the overlay behavior remains the same.
Are real configurations shown or only theory?
Real configurations on real network operating systems inside EVE-NG. Every lesson ends with you seeing the device output, the BGP table for the EVPN address family, the MAC address table, and the packet capture that confirms the theory.
What should I already know before starting this course?
A solid Layer 2 base. Switching Fundamentals is included free inside this package so you can refresh that base. Comfort with basic IP routing is helpful.
Do I need BGP knowledge before I start?
Not strictly. The course explains the EVPN address family from scratch. If you want to feel completely at home, please review BGP from Scratch first.
Is OSPF or IS-IS required?
You need a working IGP for the underlay. You do not need to be an expert in either. If you want to strengthen your routing base first, please see Routing Fundamentals.
Is CCNA enough as a base?
Yes for most learners. If your CCNA is not done yet, please start with CCNA for Know Nothing Learner in English or Be Job Ready in Computer Networking in Hindi.
Why do you sell both Hindi and English together?
Most learners switch between languages depending on the source they are reading. The package removes the language decision so you can move between the two versions without paying again.
Are the Hindi and English videos the same content?
The technical content is the same. The Hindi version is in Hinglish, which means English script with a Hindi sentence structure and English technical terms.
Can I use both versions in any order?
Yes. Many learners watch the Hindi version first for concept absorption and then watch the English version before interviews to lock the vocabulary.
Will this help me with CCNP Data Center?
Yes. VXLAN with BGP-EVPN is a core topic in CCNP Data Center, DCACI and DCCOR blueprints. The depth of packet walk here goes beyond exam level.
Does this map to the Cisco DCACI exam?
The protocol fundamentals, the EVPN route types, and the configuration patterns align well with DCACI. The course is product neutral on the control plane logic, which is exactly what the exam tests.
