About the course

Pichhle 20 saal mein har enterprise ka WAN lagbhag ek jaisa dikhta tha.

Kuch data centers, kuch badi branches, har branch par ek mehnga MPLS circuit, aur internet ka saara traffic data center se hokar jata tha security check ke liye. Yeh design uss time logical tha jab saare applications data center ke andar hi the. Lekin jis din enterprises ne apne applications Microsoft 365, Salesforce, AWS aur Azure mein move kiye, uss din yeh purana WAN beemar lagne laga. Sabse important traffic ab public cloud ki taraf ja raha tha, aur legacy WAN usse second class treatment de raha tha.

SD-WAN isi mismatch ka jawab hai.

Yeh koi naya hardware nahi hai, yeh WAN banane ka ek naya tarika hai. Yahan control plane (matlab dimaag, jo decide karta hai ki kaunsi path lena hai aur kaunsi policy lagani hai) ko data plane (matlab muscle, jo packet ko forward karta hai) se alag kar diya jata hai. Jab dimaag aur muscle alag ho jate hain, toh kuch central controllers thousands of branch routers ko consistent tareeke se chala sakte hain. Ek click se 5000 branches mein same policy push kar sakte hain. Office 365 ka traffic branch se seedha internet par bhej sakte hain bina data center backhaul ke. Aur ek important voice call jab MPLS path par degrade hone lage, toh use milliseconds mein LTE par shift kar sakte hain.

Yeh course aapko SD-WAN zero se sikhata hai.

Pehla din vManage GUI dikha kar menu ratwane wala course nahi hai yeh. Pehle hum dekhenge ki purana WAN kaisa tha aur usme kya dard tha. Phir hum SD-WAN ke puzzle ko whiteboard par tod kar dikhayenge: ek taraf control plane, doosri taraf data plane. Jab yeh basic picture clear ho jayegi, tab vBond, vManage aur vSmart aayenge, aur tab aapko samajh aayega ki ek box ki jagah teen alag controllers kyon banaye gaye.

Course 40 hours ka hai,

30 lessons mein bantaa hua. Har lesson ek hi pattern follow karta hai. Pehle why, whiteboard par analogy ke saath. Phir how, configuration ke saath. Phir verification, EVE-NG lab par. Aap apna khud ka SD-WAN lab EVE-NG par bana lenge, teeno controllers ko bring up karenge, edge routers ko onboard karenge, device templates push karenge, OMP ko routes exchange karte hue dekhenge, aur TLOCs ko multiple transports par live aate hue dekhenge. Phir aap control policy, data policy, application aware routing policy aur tunnel restriction policy banayenge, aur har ek policy ka effect lab mein live dekhenge.

Course sirf protocol nahi sikhata,

design aur deployment skills bhi sikhata hai jo real interviews mein poochhe jate hain. Aap customer requirements kaise collect karte hain, HLD (High Level Design) document kaise likhte hain, purane WAN se SD-WAN par migration kaise plan karte hain, yeh sab cover kiya gaya hai. Service chaining aur Cloud OnRamp for IaaS aur SaaS bhi end mein cover kiye gaye hain, jo SD-WAN ki sabse modern kahaani hai aur hiring managers aaj sabse zyada is par sawal poochhte hain.

Yeh page poori tarah Hindi version ke liye hai.

Agar aap dono languages chahte hain, toh SD-WAN from Scratch Package lijiye, jo Hindi aur English dono ek price mein deta hai. Bahut log Hindi mein concept samajhte hain aur English mein interview dete hain, isliye Package ka model unke liye perfect hai.

Background ke liye Routing Fundamentals aur BGP from Scratch recommended hain. Agar purana WAN kaisa kaam karta tha woh bhi dekhna hai, toh MPLS from Scratch saath mein dekhiye.

Instructor: Vishnu Dutt. 19+ saal Cisco mein, 15000+ learners ko 100+ countries mein padha chuke hain. Aur info About Us par hai.

What you will  learn

Lesson 1: WAN History and problems associated with Enterprise Networks Part-1

Pehle yeh dekhna zaroori hai ki SD-WAN aaya kyon. Iske liye purane WAN ki timeline samajhni padegi. Leased lines, Frame Relay, ATM aur MPLS Layer 3 VPN, har generation ne kya solve kiya aur kya nahi solve kar paya, yeh lesson whiteboard par dikhata hai.

Lesson 2: WAN History and problems associated with Enterprise Networks Part-2

Legacy WAN ke specific dard yahan list ho jate hain. MPLS circuit ko months lag jate the provisioning mein. Per Mbps cost broadband se 10 guna zyada thi. Branches par vendor lock in tha. Central visibility nahi thi. SaaS traffic ko data center se hokar jaana padta tha jo user experience kharab karta tha. Har dard ko match karne wala SD-WAN feature aage ke lessons mein milega.

Lesson 3: Let us break SD-WAN Puzzle (Control Plane vs Data Plane) Part-1

SD-WAN intimidating lagti hai kyunki vendor pehli slide mein hi 20 acronyms thok dete hain. Yeh lesson whiteboard par sirf ek line kheechta hai: control plane aur data plane ke beech. Jab yeh line clear ho jayegi, har acronym apni jagah baith jayega.

Lesson 4: Let us break SD-WAN Puzzle (Control Plane vs Data Plane) Part-2

Ab woh abstract line real Cisco SD-WAN components par map hoti hai. Ek integrated router 5000 sites tak scale kyon nahi kar sakta, aur brain ko muscle se alag karna marketing slogan nahi balki architecture ki zaroorat kyon hai, yeh sab is lesson mein clear hota hai.

Lesson 5: SD-WAN Controllers and Concept of Network Security Part-1

Cisco SD-WAN mein teen controllers hain, har ek ka apna kaam hai. vBond authentication karta hai, vManage GUI aur templates deta hai, vSmart routing brain hai jo OMP routes distribute karta hai. Lesson explain karta hai ki ek box ki jagah teen alag controllers kyon banaye gaye.

Lesson 6: SD-WAN Controllers and Concept of Network Security Part-2

Security SD-WAN mein last mein nahi joda gaya, sabse pehle banaya gaya. Har device ko certificate se authenticate karna padta hai vBond ke saath, aur har control channel TLS protected hota hai. Yeh design legacy WAN ke security gaps ko kaise band karta hai, woh is lesson mein hai.

Lesson 7: TLS and IPSec Part-1

SD-WAN tunnels koi magic nahi hain, woh TLS aur IPSec par chalte hain. Yeh lesson TLS ko cover karta hai working level par. Handshake, certificates, asymmetric versus symmetric encryption, aur SD-WAN mein TLS controllers aur edges ke beech kyon use hota hai.

Lesson 8: TLS and IPSec Part-2

IPSec har SD-WAN data tunnel ke andar baitha hai. IKE phase 1 aur phase 2, transport versus tunnel mode, ESP, aur do edges ke beech IPSec ka exact role yahan dikhaya gaya hai. Packet level diagrams ke saath, taaki baad mein aap IPSec debug padh sakein bina guess kiye.

Lesson 9: Let us create SD-WAN lab from scratch Part-1

Sirf padhne se kuch nahi hota. Yeh lesson EVE-NG par real SD-WAN lab banata hai. Topology design, transport planning, IP addressing aur EVE-NG mein controller images load karna, sab is lesson mein hai.

Lesson 10: Let us create SD-WAN lab from scratch Part-2

Topology ban gayi, ab lab ko live laana hai. vBond, vManage, vSmart ko sequence mein start karna, control connections verify karna, aur edge routers ko ek ek karke onboard karna. Lesson ke end tak aapke paas working SD-WAN fabric hoga.

Lesson 11: Initial Configuration and vManage Demonstration Part-1

Lab live ho gaya, ab har device par Day Zero configuration. System IP, site ID, organisation name, vBond address, certificate. Har setting ka why explain kiya gaya hai taaki aap copy nahi karein, samjhein.

Lesson 12: Initial Configuration and vManage Demonstration Part-2

vManage GUI ko top to bottom walk karte hain. Dashboard, Devices, Monitor, Alarms, Events, Configuration, Templates, Policies, sab. Kaunse screens daily operations mein use honge aur kaunse sirf deployment ke time, yeh lesson clear karta hai.

Lesson 13: Templates, TLOC and OMP Part-1

SD-WAN template driven hai, CLI driven nahi. Device Templates, Feature Templates, CLI Templates, teeno layers ka why is lesson mein hai. TLOC (Transport Location) bhi yahan introduce hota hai, jo har edge ki har transport interface ko ek naam deta hai.

Lesson 14: Templates, TLOC and OMP Part-2

OMP (Overlay Management Protocol) SD-WAN ka routing brain hai. Naya protocol kyon banaya, BGP ko hi kyon nahi use kar liya, yeh lesson explain karta hai. OMP routes, TLOC routes aur service routes ka role bhi yahan clear ho jata hai.

Lesson 15: Traffic Engineering and OMP Path Selection Part-1

OMP best path ek defined algorithm se select karta hai. Yeh lesson har attribute ko ek ke baad ek walk karta hai (origin, OMP route type, preference, AS path aur aage). Har step ka why bhi explain hota hai, taaki aap route table dekhne se pehle predict kar sakein ki kaunsa path jeetega.

Lesson 16: Traffic Engineering and OMP Path Selection Part-2

SD-WAN traffic engineering MPLS TE jaisi nahi hai. Yahan koi RSVP tunnels nahi hote. Aap OMP attributes aur policies se path influence karte hain. Common business requirements (voice ke liye MPLS prefer karo, backup ke liye Internet) ko sahi OMP behaviour mein translate karna yeh lesson sikhata hai.

Lesson 17: Template, OMP Demonstration and NAT Part-1

Yeh lesson poori tarah hands on hai. Templates push hote hain edges par, OMP convergence live dekhi jati hai, aur route tables inspect ki jati hain jaise paths aate jate hain. Cause and effect chain saamne dikhti hai.

Lesson 18: Template, OMP Demonstration and NAT Part-2

NAT SD-WAN mein unexpected jagah pe milta hai. WAN transport par NAT, DIA ke liye NAT, aur OMP ke saath NAT ka interaction, sab is lesson mein vManage ke andar configure aur verify karte hain.

Lesson 19: DIA, TLOC Extension and Restricting Tunnels Part-1

DIA (Direct Internet Access) branch ko seedha internet par jaane deta hai, data center backhaul ki zaroorat khatm. Lesson DIA ka why (cost, performance, user experience), how (edge par config), aur policy controls cover karta hai jo decide karte hain ki kaunsa traffic DIA jayega aur kaunsa tunnel mein rahega.

Lesson 20: DIA, TLOC Extension and Restricting Tunnels Part-2

TLOC Extension ek edge ko paas wale edge ki transport use karne deta hai. Yeh kab useful hai (single circuit branch, dual edge sites) aur configure kaise karna hai, yeh lesson cover karta hai. Tunnel restriction se hub and spoke ya regional mesh design banane ka tarika bhi yahan hai.

Lesson 21: AAR and Customer Requirement Collection Part-1

Application Aware Routing SD-WAN ka killer feature hai. Yeh lesson AAR ko end to end explain karta hai. SD-WAN BFD se loss, latency aur jitter har tunnel par measure karta hai, SLA classes define hoti hain, policy app ko class par map karti hai, aur SLA break hote hi traffic better path par shift ho jata hai.

Lesson 22: AAR and Customer Requirement Collection Part-2

Achchi AAR policy clear customer requirement se shuru hoti hai. Customer se kya kya poochhna chahiye policy likhne se pehle, yahi yeh lesson sikhata hai. Yeh wahi skill hai jo SD-WAN design interview mein test hoti hai.

Lesson 23: SD-WAN Requirement Collection and HLD Part-1

Design utni hi achchi hoti hai jitne achche sawal aapne customer se poochhe. Yeh lesson SD-WAN project ke liye requirement gathering ka full process walk karta hai. Stakeholders, current state, constraints, sab.

Lesson 24: SD-WAN Requirement Collection and HLD Part-2

Requirement phase ka output HLD document hota hai. Section by section HLD walk hoti hai is lesson mein. Overview, design principles, controller placement, transport design, site templates, routing design, policy design, security, monitoring. Reusable structure jo aap real projects mein use kar sakein.

Lesson 25: SD-WAN Policies deep dive Part-1

Policies SD-WAN ki power bhi hain aur complexity bhi. Policy hierarchy: localized versus centralized, control policy, data policy, application route policy. Har policy type ka design problem clear kiya gaya hai jise woh solve karne ke liye banaya gaya hai.

Lesson 26: SD-WAN Policies deep dive Part-2

Yeh lesson har policy type ko lab mein live run karta hai. Control policy regions ke beech traffic steer karti hai, data policy specific apps ke liye OMP override karti hai, application route policy SLA based routing honour karti hai voice aur video ke liye.

Lesson 27: Old WAN to SD-WAN (Migration Considerations) Part-1

Real world mein green field deployment kabhi nahi milti. Hamesha purana WAN hota hai migrate karne ke liye. Migration patterns: parallel, hybrid coexistence with MPLS, gradual cutover. Har pattern kis business situation ke liye sahi hai, yahan match hota hai.

Lesson 28: Old WAN to SD-WAN (Migration Considerations) Part-2

Migration mistakes mehnge padte hain. Common pitfalls aur unhe avoid karne ka tarika is lesson mein hai. Legacy side ki routing policy bhoolna, branch internet bandwidth ka galat estimate, Active Directory aur DNS ka cutover mismanagement, aur rollback plan ka na hona, yeh sab cover hote hain.

Lesson 29: Service Chaining and Cloud OnRamp for IaaS, SaaS Part-1

Modern enterprises AWS, Azure aur SaaS providers mein applications run karte hain, aur SD-WAN fabric ko yeh traffic intelligently carry karna hota hai. Service chaining (firewall aur IPS ko SD-WAN forwarding path mein insert karna bina fabric change kiye) yahan cover ho jati hai.

Lesson 30: Service Chaining and Cloud OnRamp for IaaS, SaaS Part-2

Cloud OnRamp SD-WAN fabric aur public cloud ke beech ka bridge hai. Cloud OnRamp for IaaS (AWS aur Azure mein fabric extend karna) aur Cloud OnRamp for SaaS (Office 365 jaise apps ke liye fastest internet exit choose karna) dono yahan configure aur verify hote hain.
